The auditions are a great opportunity for dancers and their families to meet Program staff. Respecting that dancers come from different training backgrounds and vary in age, each dancer is evaluated within the context of their individual abilities. Successful candidates demonstrate age-appropriate skills, musicality, commitment to achieving progress, and appreciation for a collaborative environment. As the John Cranko School is in session during the year, local teachers conduct the auditions. For the Summer Intensive, John Cranko School teachers travel exclusively from Stuttgart for the Program.
Students from all over the world are welcome! While in-person or virtual auditions are highly recommended, we welcome a video audition if you are unable to attend them.
PLEASE NOTE: Programs require age appropriate immunization status in accordance with CT/NY state guidelines set for school enrollment. To request an exemption, Program must be contacted PRIOR TO REGISTRATION for instructions on its review process. Program strongly recommends that all Participants are current on their COVID-19 vaccines.
Capacity is limited for in-person and virtual options, and will be capped for all audition sessions.

Registration will close Friday at 5pm EST prior to the audition.

You should audition with the age group you will be in by July 20, 2024.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.

All virtual auditions will be conducted in US EST, please be mindful of this when adding to your calendar.
Results are emailed within 2 weeks from the audition and sent to the email entered at registration.

Upload dancer's headshot and first arabesque photos according to the instructions in the Forms tab.
This is important for dancer's evaluation process.
3. Upload Audition Photos

New families will be prompted to create a profile on the Program's Portal. When creating your account, the dancer's profile photo will need to be added to proceed with registration. Click here for instructions on how to upload.

Returning families should register using their existing profiles through the Parent Dashboard

Once logged in, click on the "enrollment" tab.

Choose the date/time/age group and pay the audition fee ($40 In-person Advance | $50 Video, Virtual, In-person On-site)

In selecting the proper age group, please be guided by dancer's age as of July 20, 2024 AND:

If your dancer is 12 years old and requires a barre to safely execute pointe work register for the 9-12 age group.

If your dancer is 12 years old and does not require a barre to execute pointe work register for the 12-14 age group
